About

Photography is my way of looking outside of myself—observing, listening, and translating fleeting moments into presence and meaning. I am drawn to the ephemeral, the imperfect, and the subtle gestures that reveal the depth of experience. Through the viewfinder, the surrounding chaos recedes, and a single moment emerges, contained and magnified within the frame.

It is a dialogue: a way to connect, witness, and honor this world. Each frame is a meditation on light, form, and the rhythms of life.

Artist Bio

Born in Bulgaria, Deni Stanev moved to the United States in 2005, beginning her creative journey in Los Angeles, California. Her love for visual storytelling started during those years, working on editorial shoots as a makeup artist and developing an early foundation in portrait photography.

In 2022, she and her family settled in Kentucky, drawn by the slower pace and the meditative rhythm of rural life. The move deepened her connection to photography as a way to capture fleeting moments, explore memory and time, and transform ordinary details into images that resonate.

Inspired by nature, literature, and music, Deni is drawn to subtle gestures, textures, and the unspoken stories that reveal human experience. Her work spans fine art and portraiture—her fine art is showcased here, and her portrait work can be viewed at denistanevphotography.com.

Deni is a member of the Ohio River Valley Artists Guild and continues to develop her practice through independent projects and personal exploration of visual storytelling.
